Concept
Our concept is “Enjoy as it is” There is no store nearby our 50-year-old Japanese-style house. Winter is extremely cold. What we don’t have, we will create with wisdom. Children are pioneers. The whole house is a secret base for children. In front of the house is a playground. For adults, we are fully enjoying DIY, Bonfires, agriculture, etc. Since back then, we’ve been interacting with various people from all over the world. Each one of them was so special experience that provided us fresh amazement and new values. We will continue to live our lives feeling both the old and the new “as is”.
3 Key Points
1Host’s introduction
We are a family of six, four energetic siblings born in Fukui. Mother is from Osaka and has been involved in early childhood education for 9 years. While teaching intellectual education to children, on her days off she runs a stall selling her handmade works at events. She speaks Danish. My father is from Saitama, Japan, and with his various work experience, he can do anything from DIY to bonfires and farm work. He is currently researching vegan food recipes. I have hosted more than 100 couples in the past 9 years, both domestic and international travelers and students. I love to interact with people from different backgrounds through my experience of volunteering and studying abroad. Children love to meet people because they have been interacting internationally since birth.

Recommendations
・For those who are thinking to move to a rural area ( able to talk about immigrant experiences )
・People who are interested in international exchange.
・People who want to relax in nature.
・People who love children.
・People who like to be active.
・People who are not afraid of insects and other living creatures in a country house.
・People who like to go for walks.
・The house is quite messy because of the children, but if you don't mind, I would recommend this house.
・ It is not a convenient house by any means, but let's enjoy it as it is.
・There are a lot of people coming and going, so small children may get tired of the change of environment.

Reviews
My four-year-old daughter and her dad stayed with us for six days during the summer holidays.
If I had to conclude, I would say it was a great experience.
Particularly good points (from the child's point of view)
1) [Experiencing the countryside].
We were able to experience the river, the stars, the sea, insects, barbecues and other wonderful things that can only be found in the countryside, free of charge.
My daughter was especially excited to see the star-filled sky.
We were also taken to a river play spot by our hosts in their car.(What a lovely host).
My husband was also very happy to see my daughter's big smile, which we usually don't see.
(2) [Building relationships with the host's children].
As you can see in the photo, there are two boys and two girlsin the host's house.
These children are very active and have light fights every day.
As they are close in age to my four-year-old daughter, my only child is very interested in them! She watched her siblings growing up fighting with each other in a curious way.
The host's siblings (especially the eldest) took good care of her and played with her all the time.
They enjoyed playing with fireworks and playing in the river together, being so noisy and excited.
I was happy to see my daughter so excited.
(iii) [Large amount of toys
At the host's house there is an overflowing supply of toys, including Lego, LaQ [Japanese Lego bricks], Thomas the locomotive, an indoor swing set and a make-believe set.
The space full of new toys was like heaven for my daughter.
She played with the toys from the time she woke up in the morning until she went to bed, all the time she was at home with the host's daughter.
Particularly good points (from an adult's perspective)
(i) [Learning English].
I was studying English, so I came here looking for a host where I could have an international exchange. I told my host,"I chose this host because I wanted to do international exchange!
I told them that I wanted to do international exchange and they arranged for a guest from Europe to come on the same day for me. Thanks to this, I was able to practise my English conversation every day and introduce my daily life in Japan to them in English.
Although it is not absolutely possible to arrange the day of their stay due to their availability, I recommend that you ask them if you wantto improve your English skills.
2) [Relaxing in a daze].
Parents, especially those with children, can relax in a relaxed atmosphere.
This is because children will be absorbed in playing with toys and playing with the host's children here.
It was the most luxurious time for parents raising children who cannot relax easily.
Thank you very much, I will go back in the future with my grown up LAN☻
We had a really fulfilling six days.
The magnificent view of Tojinbo (coast and cliffs),The children's international exchange, hide-and-seek at home,Cherry blossom viewing and camping with many people, walks in the neighbourhood, meals, potato planting, and so much more.
When I remember, I feel so nostalgic that it brings tears to my eyes.
I don't think I've ever felt like this before,
I think this is the first time I have felt like this in decades.
The hosts are so kind and gentle, I thought it must be because they are the ones who are loved by everyone.
From the other foreign guests, too, I received many important hints for my future life.
My daughter was able to spend time with people from other countries, It was a valuable experience for me as if I had sent her abroad for a homestay.
