Local Characteristics

Tanabe City, Wakayama Prefecture, is also known for the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route. Tanabe is also proud of its Nanko-ume(Japanese plum) trees. More than 55% of Japanese plums are produced in this area, and the “ume system,” which consists of a unique livelihood and natural landscape, has been recognized as a World Agricultural Heritage site. In addition to pickled plums and plum wine, the area is attracting more and more attention in recent years as French and Italian restaurants serving plum pasta, plum wine, etc. have sprung up.

Concept

I want to make a place where everyone can come freely and come into being their fate. A little inconvenience but that’s fun though! I’m so happy you all come here to enjoy interact with people, and relax. Recently, we are opening events with our community members by using Kura which fulfills my grandfather’s memory. You might be able to join if it was the right timing.

3 Key Points

1Host’s introduction

Mom of a Japanese apricot farmer. I finished taking care of three children and started to open the Guest House connects people to people. My motto is to “communicate” with everyone. I’m thinking that we communicate, laugh, and think together and want you to think “Second Mom”. Welcome to the rural place to live slow life where you don’t need to care about anyone.

2You can interact with people like this!

Since we are a farmer’s Guest House, you can do agriculture together and make meals with customers while chatting with them. Apricot, orange, bee, ocean, mountain, sky with stars, connecting with nature… Highly recommend visiting here during June when the period of harvesting because travelers and students might be gathered. It is an undiscovered hideout where people of all genres gather despite its rural location.

3You can experience like this!

You can harvest apricot, mandarin orange! You can experience only here for making juice, and syrup by using fruits you harvested on your own hands! I’m so happy to help with my harvesting, and picking the fruits if you have interested in agriculture. I’m also waiting for the people who want to manage the guest house.
